The Story Behind
Breath & Branches
A sacred living practice rooted in breathwork, nature, and the belief that your everyday life is worthy of intention.
Born from a
simple realization.
Breath & Branches began with a question Gwen had been sitting with for a long time: What if the rhythms of nature could teach us how to live? Just as a tree cannot rise without first going deep — the branches cannot stretch without the roots holding — we, too, need both grounding and growth to truly flourish.
The Breath is the life force that moves through everything. It is the most immediate tool we carry — always available, always honest. When we return to the breath, we return to the present moment. We return to ourselves.
The Branches are the reaching — toward community, toward creativity, toward the fullest expression of who we are. They represent the courage to grow outward, to be seen, to connect. Branches also offer shelter. This practice is meant to be both.
The Roots — though not in the name — are where everything begins. Grounding, stability, nourishment. The inner life that sustains the outer one. Before we rise, we root.
Together, these three form the foundation of everything Breath & Branches offers — not as a program to complete, but as a living practice to return to, again and again.
Three words.
One grounded life.
Breathwork
The breath is the most direct path back to the present moment. In every gathering, every session, every practice — we begin here. It is the thread that weaves everything together.
Ritual & Nature
Nature moves in seasons. So do we. Ritual gives our days a quality of intention they rarely have otherwise — a pause, a gesture, a way of saying: this moment matters.
Sacred Living
Not a destination or a transformation to perform. A daily practice of choosing presence, honoring what sustains you, and building a life that actually feels like yours.
Gwen Gillespie Thibeaux, M.A.
Sacred Living Coach · Breathwork PractitionerGwen is the founder and heart of Breath & Branches — a sacred living coach and breathwork practitioner based in the Inland Empire of Southern California. Her work is built around a single conviction: that the ordinary moments of a woman’s life are worthy of intention, and that the breath is one of the most powerful tools available to us.
She guides women and femme communities in slowing down, going inward, and reconnecting — with their bodies, their breath, and the rhythms of the natural world. Her approach is warm, unhurried, and grounded in the belief that healing does not have to be urgent or performative to be real.
Gwen brings both depth and care to everything she creates — from intimate in-person gatherings to virtual group cohorts to the weekly letters she sends every Sunday morning. Breath & Branches is not just a practice she teaches. It is how she lives.

This practice is for
women and femme communities.
Specifically — women who are tired of living at a pace that leaves no room for the interior life. Women who sense there is something slower and more sacred available to them, but haven’t had a container for it yet. Women who are ready to tend their inner life with the same care they give everyone else. If that is you, you are in the right place.
